An Even Better Coastal Pool

The State Government has announced an additional $7million towards Perth’s first coastal pool.

The $10million investment will now include an extended deck, an architecturally-designed hospitality building.  fun play space, public art interpretation and inclusive facilities for the whole community to enjoy.

A world class precinct

Ocean Reef Marina will become a world-class recreational, boating, residential and tourism precinct.

When complete, the marina will include capacity for up to 550 boat pens, 200 boat stackers, boat ramps, trailer parking, and a family beach within the protection of the marina as well as Perth’s first coastal pool.

The development will provide for more than 1,000 residential dwellings in a combination of single residential homes, apartments and mixed-use developments as well as up 12,000sqm of retail/commercial floor space, plus, the community will get to enjoy more than 5ha of community spaces.

Perth’s first coastal pool

As a result of strong feedback from the local community, a coastal pool has been added to the design for the marina. This will be Perth’s first coastal pool, and will be available for locals and visitors to swim laps and play some water sports.

The exact design and dimensions of the pool is subject to further detailed design.

Supporting local clubs and emergency services

Premier Mark McGowan has announced an additional $6.5million to help relocate Marine Rescue Whitfords and Ocean Reef Sea Sports Club (ORSSC) to new facilities within the new marina.
